The route navigates from the southern lush green valleys to the arid alpine land in the north of Himalaya coming back down to southern foothills. Landscape and culture changes drastically from Hindu dominant cosmopolitan villages to hardcore Tibetan Buddhist villages those are much more intact than Tibet under Chinese influence.
