More Facts Less Facts

Kanchenjunga trek is one of the less trodden treks in the far northeast of Nepalese Himalayas. Kanchenjunga is the massif of five prominent peaks with one of them being the third highest peaks in the world. The name is derived from Tibetan language which means ‘Five treasures of the high snow’.

The trek is perfect for those willing to explore remote corners of the Himalayas. The trail passes through the ethnic territory of Rai and Limbu people coming to devout Tibetan Buddhist villages at higher reaches. Vegetation and landscape change from subtropical to Himalayan buttresses with glaciers and snow fields within few days make the trek more vibrant and picturesque.
