Everest cultural trek is designed to experience Sherpa culture and their acquaintance with high mountains of Everest region. The trek allows you to walk through charming Buddhist villages teaming with prayer flags, prayers wheels and Mani walls, into the Sherpa heartland. Stay in small but cozy teahouse or lodge run by local Sherpa family and witness their day to day life very closely. Mountains are so dominant that it influence their routine and calendar. Mountains are worshiped and pleased in local monasteries. Yeti the abominable snowman hailing from the daunting peaks plays the contact between peaks and the people. Happy spirits revolve around the Yaks, mountains and Yeti.
Everest cultural trek starts with a short and scenic flight to Lukla. The trail then follows the lush valley upstream through charming Sherpa villages to Namche bazaar. Namche bazaar at 3,440 m is at the crossroad leading to three different valleys in Everest national park. Sherpas from surrounding villages gather at Namche for the Saturday market.
