Annapurna is a massif in the Himalayan range with its highest peak, Annapurna I (8,090 m) ranked as the 10th highest mountain in the world. The name â€˜Annapurnaâ€™ is derived from Sanskrit meaning â€˜plenty of cropsâ€™ or good harvest. The mountain is embodiment of mother goddess Annapurna.
